The first bottling from estate Chardonnay vines, the 2013 Estate Reserve was pressed straight into barrels (one stainless steel, one new oak, and six neutral oak, for a total of about 190 cases). This wine shows aromas of green and yellow apple, lemon, and hints of white pepper. As the wine opens up, faint oak aromas develop, but it retains beautiful citrus flavors and pretty, lemony acidity.
An ideal chardonnay to sip on a summer afternoon, or to serve with a roast chicken with butter and herbs rubbed under the skin, or a white bean hummus with rosemary and lemon. To be released summer 2016.
