This wine has aromas of stone fruit, peaches, ripe green apples, citrus zest, vanilla and clove, followed in the mouth with hints of pear, tropical fruit, and cinnamon. The mouth is full and rich with a good balance between fruit, alcohol and acid. The wine has a rich tapered long finish that is both full and elegant. This Burgundian-styled wine can be equally enjoyed on its own or with a meal.
Light and peppery on the nose as well as the palate, this wine is the perfect red wine for sipping or enjoying with food. Featuring white peppercorns and sunburst raspberries on the nose with a sultry palate of marionberries and cassis it is best enjoyed with game meats such as bison, buffalo or lamb. Suggested dishes are a bison burger topped with pepper bacon and gorgonzola on a focaccia bun. Also pairs well with a cherry pie a la mode.
The first bottling from estate Chardonnay vines, the 2013 Estate Reserve was pressed straight into barrels (one stainless steel, one new oak, and six neutral oak, for a total of about 190 cases). This wine shows aromas of green and yellow apple, lemon, and hints of white pepper. As the wine opens up, faint oak aromas develop, but it retains beautiful citrus flavors and pretty, lemony acidity.
A floral and fragrant nose of fresh berry preserves and violets accompany a palate of blackberry, fig and chocolate liqueur on what we call our "prettiest wine". Heavy rains at the end of the growing season, immediately preceeding harvest, diluted fruit creating a very light and palatable vintage. This luscious wine is velvety smooth and the perfect partner to Mediterranean cusine.
A special blend of the four most outstanding barrels of the 2013 vintage. A rich nose of dark plum and tobacco leads to a brooding palate of coffee and huckleberries. The long finish of rich dark fruit and smooth tannins carries into a lingering essence of mushrooms and earth.
