Vintage Notes: Overall, the timing of the 2021 growing season was typical for Oregon. A warm and dry summer gave way to several high heat spells in late August and early September. Picking was in line with average Estate vintages.
Harvest: The .875 acre yielded 6.36 tons was harvested at 22 Brix on September 26, 2021.
Vinification and Aging: After harvesting, the grapes were gently whole cluster pressed and slowly tank fermented in a stainless steel, glycol cooled tank The finished wine saw 5% wine fermented and aged for 4 months in neutral oak, and 95% stainless steel tank fermentation wine.
Description: Amelia's Cuvee is a vineyard blend of two Estate Chardonnay Blends, chosen to create a layered wine that is deliciously young, but will age for several years. Fermented mostly in stainless steel, this Chardonnay has notes of Asian Pear and white peach on the nose, has a lush mid-palate with flavors of apricot and stone fruit, and offers a long bright finish. Pairs perfectly with seafood and lighter fare.
